Sunday Mornings can be scary
if you’re visiting a congregation you’re not used to.
Our 11:00 service is traditional without being uptight. Dress runs the gamut – Hawaiian shirts are as at home as suits and ties. Our pastor and choir usually wear robes (but sometimes it’s just too hot!).
We sing hymns, hear scripture read, say printed prayers together, and hear a sermon that connects the living Word to the lives we live. All ages are present, and when there are children there is a special message for them. We provide activity kits to help keep them engaged during the service and, if desired, can accompany them to a playroom where they can be more relaxed.
Music is our strength and our joy and we try to incorporate a variety of traditional hymns, gospel favorites, and newer songs of praise. Each week our Chancel Choir offers a choral anthem. We typically celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
